Patrick M. Gormley
Owner, CA Licensed Funeral Director, Embalmer, Crematory Manager, and CA Licensed Preneed Insurance Agent
Patrick M. Gormley, a native Sacramentan and 4th-generation Funeral Director and Owner of W.F. Gormley & Sons Funeral Chapel. He is a graduate of Christian Brothers High School in 1974, Sacramento City College with an A.A. Degree in Business Administration in 1976, and Rancho Arroyo College of Mortuary Science in 1980. Currently, Patrick holds Funeral Director License #763, Embalmer's License #7113, and Forethought Life Insurance License #8139. He has been working in the family business since June 1973.
Patrick is also involved in numerous clubs and organizations over the past 39 years, including President of the Sacramento Area Funeral Directors Association 1992-1994, President of Christian Brothers High School Alumni Association 1985-1986 and Del Paso Country Club Board of Directors 1999-2002, a member of Rotary Club of Sacramento from 1990-2000, and Sacred Heart School Board 1997-2000, Sacramento Serra Club, Knights of Columbus #953, East Sacramento Little League Board of Directors, U.C.D. Leadership Council, Sacramento Sunshine Boys Club, and a member of William Land Park Men's Golf Club.
Patrick M. Gormley Jr.

Patrick M. Gormley Jr. is the 5th generation of the Gormley family to be a part of the business. Patrick possesses California Funeral Directors License #3421. He is also a licensed Preneed Insurance Agent. Born and raised in Sacramento, he graduated from Christian Brothers High School. After Christian Brothers, he graduated from San Diego State University with a B.S. in Criminal Justice with Distinction Honors and a Minor in Business Management. He was also a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, where he served on their Executive Board.
When Patrick Jr. moved back to Sacramento, he volunteered at the Sacramento State Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon for a period of time. He also was an Assistant Football Coach at Christian Brothers High School for three seasons and served on the LaSalle Club Board at Christian Brothers. He is a past Board Member of the Sutter Club in Sacramento. He lives in Carmichael with his wife, Erica, son, Michael, daughter, Grace, and golden retriever, Stella.

Robert L. Simpson
Manager, CA Licensed Funeral Director, and CA Licensed Embalmer
A lifelong resident of Sacramento, Robert attended local schools and graduated from San Francisco College of Mortuary Science. He is a licensed embalmer and holds license number CA EMB #8884. He also holds California Funeral Director's License #2520. He enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid chef.

Katie Sooy
CA Licensed Funeral Director
Katie grew up in the greater Citrus Heights area. She is a graduate of American River College’s Funeral Service Program. She holds California Funeral Director's License #4862. Katie came to us after over a decade working in healthcare, having received her B.S. in Public Health from California State University, Sacramento. When not at work, Katie enjoys hiking, sewing and is a full-time chauffeur to her two kids.

Lori Osborne
Family Advance Planner and CA Licensed Preneed Insurance Agent
Lori Osborne, a native Oregonian, came to California in 1975. She attended both Bauder College and Cosumnes River College and holds degrees in Retail Merchandising and Business. She joined the funeral industry in 1994 as an Administrative Assistant before becoming an At-Need and Cemetery Counselor. Lori is also a Licensed Preneed Insurance Agent.
She is the proud mother of two daughters, Jennifer (Tom) and Annie, and grandmother to four grandchildren. Lori is also the proud Bonus Mom to her stepson, Charles, and stepdaughter, Monique. Lori lives in Elk Grove with her husband, Mel, dog, Timothy B., and cat, Bella Rose. She enjoys cooking, gardening, animals, and traveling.
