Rouzbeh Daylami was born in Gorgan, Iran and immigrated with his family to the United States at the age of seven, where he was proud to become a citizen, devout Roman Catholic, and general surgeon. Rouzbeh passed away on July 17, 2019 after a 28-month battle against Glioblastoma. Named in the December 2017 Sacramento Magazine list of Top Docs, under the category of General Surgeons, Rouzbeh was devoted to his patients. Even after he could no longer perform surgery due to his brain tumor, he was determined to continue to work in whatever capacity he could as a physician at his hospital, Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento. He was an avid concert goer, loved rooting for the Denver Broncos and San Francisco Giants, traveling (most recently to Italy and the Vatican), and good wine. He loved his family dearly, especially his 8 year old daughter. He will be remembered for his kindness, his sense of humor even in the hardest of times, his determination and grace. He leaves behind his daughter, Elika; parents, Maryam and Asad; sister, Ronak; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
