Robert F. Stahley

Emblem

Bob was called to Heaven on January 14, 2025, just 2 months shy of his 98th birthday. He shared 46 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Norma, until her passing in 2003.

During his 97 years, he worked hard providing for his family. He lived a full life and was a devoted and loving dad to Mark Stahley, Jim & Andrea Stahley, Tammy & Doug Ainsley, and Tina & Hugh McGee. Bob adored and spoiled his grandchildren, Angela, Alexandria, Ashley, Adam, Mason, Ryan, Emily, and Dylan. Great grandfather to Madison, Easton, and Barrett.

Bob proudly and honorably served in the United States Navy towards the end of World War II on a troop ship in the Pacific Theater. His ship was then ordered to France to transport German prisoners of war to be interned in Scotland. Being of German descent, he was able to communicate and translate for the German prisoners. He returned to the US with a shipload of American troops being discharged. Bob was recalled during the Korean War and served on the USS Boxer aircraft carrier. He shared many fascinating stories of his time in the Navy and his travels around the world.

Until we meet again, Godspeed Dad, Grandpa, Great Grandpa.

Inurnment and military honors will be private.
