Michael Thomas Lau

Michael Thomas Lau, 80, died December 19, 2023, in Sacramento, California. He was born December 31, 1942, to Thomas Lum Lau and Sue Shiramizu Lau in Wailuku, Hawaii. He graduated from Baldwin High School Class of 1960 and attended Pacific University, Forest Grove, Oregon, San Francisco State and Sacramento State, California. He was a postal worker in San Francisco, enlisted in the United States Navy and during active and reserve duty, served more than 20 years. He retired as a teacher in Sacramento. He loved Chinese culture, skiing, and Kung Fu. Michael is survived by his brother Lot Lau Honolulu, Hawaii, sister Christine Lau Hondo Kahului, Hawaii, brother Alan Lau Honolulu, Hawaii, and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. He was cremated and will be buried February 27, 2024, with military honors at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Sacramento, California.
