Maxine Knezovich, a native Sacramentan, passed away peacefully at the age of 94 under hospice care in San Rafael, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Pearl Babich, husband Paul, sister Eva Ostoja, brother Peter Babich, and son-in-law George Domich. She is survived by her daughter Paula Domich of Petaluma, son John Knezovich (Cady) of Gardnerville, Nevada, grandchildren Jeff Domich (Valery), Jennifer Murray (Matt), and Mary, Paul and Anna Knezovich. She was the adored great-grandmother of Hannah and James Murray. She also was the aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Maxine was a graduate of St. Francis High School. She worked at the State Capitol as a legislative secretary for the Office of the Consumer Council and later as the executive secretary to Lt. Governor Glen Anderson, followed by a 25-year career as the office manager for the lobbying firm of Jackson/Barish and Associates. She was incredibly devoted to her faith, family and friends and was known as the Life of the Party, the Fun Director, and a great story teller. She was laid to rest next to her husband Paul at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Sacramento. Her family is extremely grateful to those who provided for her kind and compassionate care.
