Lawrence A. Murman, of Sacramento, passed away on January 6, 2025, at the age of 85. He was born in 1939 in Orange, California. He graduated from Wilson High School in Long Beach, California in 1957 and the University of Redlands in 1962. Later that year, he entered into the Officer Training School program for the United States Air Force and served for three years. In 1965, he married Barbara Walker in Ft. Worth, Texas. After completing his service in the USAF in 1965, he began work as a clerk in the Chief Clerk’s Office of the California State Assembly in 1967. During his tenure in that office, he worked with six governors and many members of the State Legislature. He retired after 40 years in that office. Larry is survived by his loving wife, Barbara, loving daughter Michele (Dave), and the light of his life, grandson Finn. He was particularly attached to his extended family of six cousins, and three sisters-in-law. In retirement, he enjoyed working at a close friend’s art gallery in Folsom as a docent. For recreation, tennis and swimming were his exercises of choice. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. No service is planned at this time.
