Laurel Ann Bachand Moore

August 12, 1959 to December 9, 2022. Laurel Ann Bachand Moore was born on August 12, 1959, the third child of Martin and Eileen (Brunson) Bachand in Deadwood, SD and died December 9, 2022, in Sacramento, California. Laurel died suddenly surrounded by her loving husband, son’s and family. Laurel grew up in Sturgis, SD and in her youth, she enjoyed working on the family ranch and was active in 4H. She graduated from Sturgis High School in 1977. She continued her education at South Dakota State University and graduated from Sacramento State University with a degree in child development. She married Brad Moore on December 27^th, 2002.  Laurel’s passion was being a florist and after working in the industry for many years, she started her own business in Sacramento, called “Laurel Florist”. After nearly a decade owning her own business, she went on to work for the State of California in housing development. She is survived by her husband Brad Moore, sister Marty (Scott) Campbell, brother Mike (Nancy) Bachand, her two children John Alex (Mandy) Egger, Dalton (Ana) Egger; 3 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Mary Kay. Laurel’s memorial service will be held at W.F. Gormley & Sons Funeral Chapel, 2015 Capital Avenue, Sacramento, CA, on January 6th at 11:00am. A celebration of life reception will follow from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Campus Commons Nepenthe, 1131 Commons Drive, Sacramento, CA
