Joseph Mulloy, 82, of Sacramento, CA passed away peacefully on January 26, 2022. Joe was born to the late Letha and Leo Mulloy on September 7, 1939 in Rapid City, SD and became a resident of Sacramento at age 3. He is survived by his twin brother James Mulloy of Elk Grove, CA, his two older sisters, Dorothy Murray of Overland Park, KS and Maryellen Parsons of Phoenix, AZ and many loving nieces and nephews. He will join his late sisters Darlene Mulloy Lee, and Kathryn and Geraldine Mulloy. Joe was a loving Father and is survived by his children, Timothy Joseph Mulloy/ Lauren of Sacramento, CA and Carolyn Mulloy Schwartz/Joshua of Mill Valley, CA. He was a generous and cherished Grandfather to Daniel and Katherine Mulloy and Gavin and Henry Schwartz. He never missed an opportunity to attend a sporting event or birthday party. Joe lived a life full of many adventures after graduating from Sacramento State. He served in the army, joined the peace corps, and independently traveled and taught across the globe. He had a long career in city politics and served as a City Manager across towns in California, Oregon, South Dakota and Arizona before eventually returning to Sacramento for retirement. Joe will be remembered for his calm demeanor, independent spirit, wonderful stories, generosity and loyalty. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.
