Hope A. Harrington

Hope Anne Harrington passed from this life on Christmas day, to sing with the angels in Heaven.  Hope was born October 31st, 1934 in Sacramento, to Charles and Alice Harrington.  She attended Sacred Heart  Grammer School, St Joseph's Academy High School, and Sacramento City College, graduating with a degree in Dental Assisting.  Hope worked for Larry Owens, DDS for 35+ years in a single person/assistant position.  She retired in 1990 and concentrated on a life of giving and serving her God. She was very proud of her Irish heritage and dearly loved her family and friends;  the "Silly Six" began their friendship at St Joseph's Academy in 1948 and has continued over the last many years.  Her very favorite place to go for vacation was Capitola, where as a child that love of Capitola began;  she even remembered  celebrating the end of World War II there. Hope was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Mike; she is survived by her adopted daughter and soul-mate Jan Sward, and many cousins.  A special thank you Christina for her kindness and care.  A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 6, 2022  at Sacred Heart Church.  A celebration of life will be held later in the spring.
