Gregory Michael Gliebe

In Sacramento on September 30, 2023 at the age of 68, Greg passed away after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Dee Dee and Robert Lehe, nephew Sean Lehe and his wife Emily, and his son Ryan Gliebe and Ryan’s mother Stacie Gliebe.

Greg was a Christian Brothers High School graduate, attended college for 2 years and decided that being a culinary chef was his passion. He worked at D. O. Mills for many years, then was the head chef for Christ the King Retreat House for the remainder of his long career.

But what Greg really loved was spending time at Tahoe Timber Trails with his dog, Riley and all the members of that community. We dubbed him the “Mountain Man” for his love of traveling in his motorhome over the Western U.S. visiting friends and fishing in any body of water he could find!

Friends and family are invited to attend a Rosary on October 18 at 4PM at W.F. Gormley and Sons Chapel, 2015 Capitol Ave.

A mass to celebrate his life will be held at 4PM on October 19 at St. Mary Church 1333 58th Street. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
