In Loving Memory: Grace Hyun Slater,  April 1, 1964 - February 10, 2024. It is with profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of our beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, Grace Hyun Slater. Grace's journey in this life came to an end on February 10, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She was born on April 1, 1964 to Sung and Charles Eugene Slater in Seoul, South Korea. Grace was a devoted mother to her cherished son, Christopher Slater Dickinson, who brought immense joy and purpose to her life. She treasured their bond, and her love for him was unwavering. Grace's nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family, as she cared deeply for others and animals alike. Her compassionate nature was evident in her selfless acts of kindness and her ability to make everyone feel seen and valued.  Although Grace faced countless struggles and obstacles throughout her life, she approached each day with an unwavering determination and resilience. Her vibrant personality and positive energy were infectious, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she encountered. Grace had an uncanny ability to find joy in the simplest of moments and inspire those around her to do the same. Family meant the world to Grace, and her presence will be greatly missed by her son Christopher, mother Sung Slater (Doug), her brother Charlie Slater (Tracey), and her nieces Ren (Garrett) and Risa. Their memories of Grace will forever hold a special place in their hearts, as she touched their lives with her unconditional love and unwavering support. To honor Grace's life and celebrate the beautiful moments we shared with her, a memorial service will be held on March 30th at 11:00 AM at W.F. Gormley’s Funeral Home, located at 2015 Capitol Ave. in Sacramento, California. Friends, family, and all those whose lives were touched by Grace are invited to join in remembering her vibrant spirit and the profound impact she had on our lives.  Grace, your departure has left an emptiness that can never be filled, but the memories of your love, laughter, and unwavering spirit will forever live on in our hearts. May you rest in eternal peace.
