Dolores J. Romani

Dolores passed away on March 17, 2024 in her Sacramento, CA home, surrounded by her daughters, marking 18 years to the day since her mother’s passing. Born on July 17, 1933 to Joseph E. and Katherine A. Perez, she graduated from Sacramento High School before marrying Victor H. Romani in 1952. Victor passed away in 1973. Dolores dedicated 25 years of service to the Department of Food and Agriculture, retiring in 1996. It was during her tenure there that she met Rollin “Dick” Brown in 1975 with whom she shared companionship until his passing in 2020. Dolores is survived by her loving daughters JoAnn Rasmussen (Glenn) of Mossyrock, WA and her daughter Vicki Romani of Folsom, CA. She leaves behind grandsons Erik Rasmussen and Anthony Cambra (Taylor), as well as her brother Dennis Perez, nephews Joseph and Matthew Perez, Kevin Purcell, and nieces Susan Brenner, Peggy Mayer, and Celeste Purcell-Turner. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband Victor H. Romani, her parents Joseph and Katherine Perez, and her companion Rollin “Dick” Brown. Loved by so many throughout her life, she will forever be cherished in our hearts.

A funeral service in her honor will be held on April 5, 2024 at 1:00 PM at W.F. Gormley and Sons, 2015 Capitol Avenue, Sacramento, CA, followed by interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 6509 Fruitridge Road, Sacramento, CA.
