Dennis Michael Brodsky

Dennis Brodsky passed away peacefully at his home in Sacramento, CA on August 7, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 74. 

Born March 19, 1950, in Philadelphia, PA. He was the son of the late Samuel and Doris Brodsky (nee DeLong). He was preceded in death by brothers Richard and Bruce (Soxy) Brodsky. Dennis is survived by his son Dennis, grandson Oliver (Mother Stephanie), siblings Robert (Michael), John (Barbara), Barbara Dailey (Tom), Gary (Cindi), Glenn (Robin), James, Kenneth, Donna Stewart and many nieces and nephews. He will be forever grateful for the love, support and kindness given to him by his niece Samantha and friends Chris, Fran and Kathy who cared for him until his last day.

Dennis attended Delhaas High School and graduated from California State University. He was a retired social worker for the county of Sacramento. 

Dennis had a deep appreciation for the great outdoors, always up for an adventure, loved camping, hiking and biking. 

Dennis was also an avid traveler, spending time traveling the US and Europe. Dennis loved life and didn’t waste time sitting around waiting for life to happen.

Dennis was an incredibly kind, compassionate man who put others before himself whose impact will be forever felt by his family and friends. His capacity to love, support, provide, and forgive will be remembered forever by the people who knew him. His body is gone but his spirit will live on forever.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dennis’ honor can be made to the American Cancer Society.

A celebration of life will be held in Sacramento, CA and Levittown, PA at later dates to be announced.
