David J. Schwartz

David J. Schwartz was born in Fond-du-lac, Wisconsin on 09/01/1929. He served 3 years in the U.S. Air Force, 24 years as a police officer/investigator for the City of Sacramento, was a member of #4970 Knights of Columbus, parishioner of Sacred Heart Church since 1951 and an associate member of the Sisters of Social Services. He passed on to eternal life on 09/27/2024 at the age of 95. 

He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Margarette, children: Linda Petzold and husband Frank; Lawrence; Brian; Rosemary Mulligan and husband Tom; Mark; and Daniel and his wife Robin as well as 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sons Reverend David C. Schwartz and Glen Schwartz.

Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at 10:30 AM on Thursday, October 17th at Sacred Heart Church, 1040 39th Street in Sacramento. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Stanford Settlement, 450 West El Camino Ave. Sacramento CA 95833.
