Cynthia Marie Stefani

Cynthia Stefani passed away October 28, 2021 in Fair Oaks, California at age 69.  She is survived by Marilyn Ratkay, her loving partner of 40 years and her adopted son Jason Stefani.  Cynthia is also survived by her brother Jim Stefani and his wife Linda.

The daughter of Mario and Audrey Stefani, Cynthia was a lifelong native of Sacramento.  She attended school at Immaculate Conception and Bishop Manogue.  Cynthia was a Registered Nurse who received her degree in nursing at Sacramento City College and went on to obtain a master’s degree in Public Administration.  She had a stellar career at U.C. Davis Health where she advanced from Staff Nurse to Assistant Director, and finally Manager of Quality and Safety for the health system.

She was a world traveler who loved nature.  Her favorite trips were those to view and photograph wild animals in their natural settings.  Cynthia was an avid golfer and was active in both the Wildhawk Women’s and the Haggin Oaks Business Women’s golf clubs.

Cynthia will be remembered as a kind and generous person who always gave of her time and talent to her many friends and family.  She leaves behind a large and loving family who meant the world to her.

Friends are invited to attend a viewing at W.F. Gormley & Son on Thursday, Nov. 4 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, with a Rosary starting at 7pm. The Funeral Mass will take place at Divine Savior Church, 9079 Greenback Lane, Orangevale, CA 95662, on Wed. Nov 10 at 11am.
