Chrissy - Valentine

Chrissy Valentine passed away at her home in Sacramento, California, on September 5th, 2020. The cause of death is suspected to be sepsis resulting from an untreated infection. Chrissy was born in Stockton, California, on August 20, 1980, as Christian Nousaine. She grew up in the Pine Grove area of Amador County. Later in life, she also lived in Pomona, Santa Rosa, and Ione, before settling in Sacramento. She attended Sacramento City College, received an Associate’s Degree, and was attending Sacramento State University. She showed an intense interest and appreciation for both politics and technology, and was a fierce defender of Transgender rights, and participated in the 2019 Trans Pride March in San Francisco. Chrissy was an gifted writer, preferring to create nonfiction and op-ed content, and her dream in pursuing a journalism degree was that she might one day have her own byline in a mainstream publication. Chrissy is survived by her son, Hunter Nousaine, as well as her parents, Cheryl and Dennis Nousaine, younger brother Aaron, uncle John, and several cousins, aunts and uncles. She will be remembered most fondly by her friends and community. Due to the current restrictions on large gatherings in response to the ongoing pandemic, an in-person group memorial event will be postponed until 2021.
