Beverly M. (James) Knezovich
April 10, 1928 - December 19, 2020
Roseville, California - Beverly is survived by Al, her husband of 67 years, her sons Jeffrey (Erin) and Michael (Joan), daughter-in-law Ingrid, and grandchildren Peter, Thomas, Stephanie, Rebecca, Matthew and Julia. She is preceded in death by her sons Thomas, James, and Dennis, and her sister Gloria Gormley.
Beverly was the daughter of Harold and Ruth James. She was a third generation Sacramentan until she moved to Rocklin, CA in 1988. She grew up in East Sacramento, where she attended elementary and Jr. high school, and graduated from Sacramento High School.
Dance was Beverly's passion. Her love for dancing continued until her seventies, when she finally gave up her tap shoes.
Beverly left college to become a medical secretary. When she married her husband Al, she became a full-time homemaker. She remained a homemaker for 25 years, during which she created a warm and loving home for her five boys. At the same time, she was able to contribute to charitable activities. Her primary volunteer work was with the parish school that her children were attending.
When her children began their college years, she started part-time employment. In her off hours, she joined a tennis club to play tennis along with her children. Several years later, she moved to Rocklin, retired from her temporary job and joined the Haggin Oaks Women's Golf Club. She played golf, travelled, and delivered meals to seniors in Placer County for many years, until physical conditions limited her activities.
Beverly will be interred at St. Mary's Cemetery in Sacramento in a private, family service. A memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice in Beverly's memory.
