SCOLARI, August Louis

August (Louie) was born July 14, 1927, in Gonzales California to Luigi and Annette Scolari (Bisi) and grew up in Gilroy, California. He passed away November 12, 2021, in Sacramento, California at the age of 94. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife of 56 years, Margaret, and his sisters Hazel Hewell and Mary Scolari. He is survived by sisters Alice Boyd and Ida Zanetta, children Caroline and Louis Scolari, and many nieces and nephews. He served in the United States Navy at the end of World War II, after which he attended San Jose State University. He retired from McClellan Air Force Base after 30 years of civilian service. He will be remembered as a friendly, involved, kind and genuine person. He will be greatly missed. A graveside service will be held November 22nd at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Mary’s cemetery. A memorial get-together will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Loaves and Fishes or a charity of your choice.
