PETERSON, Phyllis Died August 7, 2011 at the age of 93. Raised in Riverdale, New York and graduated with honors from the University of Utah in 1939. She was married 65 years to Colonel Robert Peterson (USAFLC). During the 1940's she worked as a photographic model in New York City. In the 1960's she began graduate studies working toward an Masters Degree in Education. She enjoyed classical music and opera, playing the piano, collecting Asian and European art and antiques, interior decorating, studying politics, and traveling, especially throughout Europe. She is survived by her family, Kristin E. Johnson of Gold River, CA; Paul Eric Peterson (Margaret) of Pacifica, CA, Dr. Stephen C. Peterson (Maria) of Hurricane, UT and Patti Delgado of Gold River, CA; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Phyllis was predeceased by her daughter Karen who died in 1996 and she was widowed in 2005. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
