Frances Josephine Schrader

Frances passed away peacefully at home amid family in West Sacramento on December 9, 2011. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was born September 22, 1918 into a family of 12 children of Melchior and Elizabeth Eberhard in Sacramento and leaves a sister and 3 brothers. She attended St. Francis Grammar School and St. Joseph High School. She and Raymond E. Schrader began a wonderful marriage in 1937. She is lovingly survived by Ray, their five children and families; James, Janet, Alan, Steven and William. She was adored by 22 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren! She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Frances was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for over 50 years and sang in the church choir for 30 years. She worked many years for the State of California. Friends are welcome to attend a Rosary service on Friday night at 7:00pm at W.F. Gormley & Sons Chapel, 2015 Capitol Ave. and the Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for the repose of her soul on Saturday at 10:00am, at Our Lady of Grace Church, 911 Park Bl. in West Sacramento. Interment will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery. Remembrances may be made in her name to the Our Lady of Grace Church fund or to a charity of choice.
