McCowan, Bessie In West Sacramento, California, December 12,2011. Beloved wife of 23 years to Aardn McCowan. Ther were married 06/22/1964. Loving mother of JoAnn, Brenda Lee, David Turner, Rosetta McCowan and the late Charles, Maryann, and Shirley Turner. Daughter of the late Bruce and Maddies Burton. Also survived by numerous Brothers, Sisters, Grandchildren, and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A native of Oklahoma and a resident of the Sacramento area for 41 years, aged 82 years. Bessie enjoyed taking care of others, cooking, and baking. Friends are invited to attend the funeral service at Christ Unity Church, 9249 Folsom Blvd., Sacramento, Friday, December 23rd at 11:00am. Interment will be in Portland, Oregon.
