Carol Marie Shannon

Carol Marie Shannon 12/25/1917 - 12/08/2011 Carol Shannon of Rocklin, CA passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2011. She was 93 years old. Carol was born in St. Maries, Idaho. She attended North Bend High School in Oregon where she excelled in home economics. She married Robert Hoyt Shannon of Columbus, Ohio on October 4, 1944 in San Luis Obispo, CA. Carol traveled with her husband to Columbus, OH where she worked as a bookkeeper for a chain of theatres for seven years. They relocated to Long Beach, CA and eventually settled in Fair Oaks, CA where Carol worked at Macy's (Sunrise) for 20+ years. She was a loyal friend and always kept herself busy going to lunch and shopping. She also enjoyed traveling, shopping, playing cards, and bingo. Carol worshiped at The Gathering Place in Folsom, CA. Carol is survived by her nephew Art Firebaugh (Mary) of Roseville, CA, her great niece Whitney Firebaugh of Loomis, CA, and her half-brother Bill Snow of Henderson, TX. She has many nieces and nephews living in the Pacific Northwest, Hawaii, and Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Salvation Army.
