Colonel USAF Born on October 17, 1915, passed away on November 9, 2011. Beloved husband of 62 years to his bride Annetta. Loving father of John (Barbara), Jim (Julie) and Mike (Nancy) Caselli. Cherished grandfather of Tony (Becky Solie), David (Priscilla), Anna, Stephen, Bryan, Matthew, Lisa Caselli and Alex Besso. Great-grandfather to Miller Joseph Caselli. Third generation Sacramentan who grew up on a ranch in the Fruitridge area before moving to the Oak Park Neighborhood. Graduate of Sacramento High School, Sacramento Junior College and UCLA. Began his career with PG&E in 1940. Retired from SMUD in 1976. Enlisted in the US Army Air Corps in 1942. Flew 34 missions as bombardier in the B24 Liberator. His many military decorations include the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Purple Heart. Awarded the Chevalier Medal of the French Legion of Honor by the French Consulate for his participation in the liberation of France. A truly wonderful man who was loved by all, "Pops" lived a full and happy life. Services will be held on Monday, November 21 at 11:00am at Sacred Heart Church. Reception to follow.
