Ruby L. English-Austin

Our beloved Ruby passed away in Sacramento after a battle with a short illness on November 19th at the age of 88. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on April 2 1923. She lived an incredible life as a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her son Jerry and daughter Caroline Sue. She is preceded in death by her daughter Marlene and husbands Cecile Robinson, Jay Harper, Jim English, and Donald Austin. She is best known as a server at the Fireside restaurant on H st. in East Sacramento after 30+ years of service. Her favorite times were spent golfing, playing pool, spending time with her widows group and driving her Jag! Services were held at W.F. Gormley and Sons Funeral Home 2015 Capitol Ave Sacramento on Friday (12/02)at 11 am. Burial services proceeded at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, in Dixon. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Diabetes Association in lieu of flowers.
