Marie Christen

Marie Christen was born in Sacramento on August 27, 1921 and went to Heaven December 8, 2011. Loving wife of 42 years to Charlie Christen; mother to Cecilia Christen Gandre (George) and Judy Christen; grandmother to Charles Macdonald (Aubree) and Shawna Durigan; great-grandmother to Brennan, Jack, Reese and Shelby; sister to Gay McLaughlin and Anna Rose DeFazio; aunt to many, many nieces and nephews. Marie was a member of YLI for over 60 years and lifelong volunteer. She served the Girl Scouts, Society for the Blind, Red Cross, Mercy Hospice and many people in need. Marie had an unquenchable zest for life and will be forever remembered. Celebrate her life with her family and friends on Wed. Dec 14 at 11:00am at W.F. Gormley and Sons, 2015 Capitol Ave. Remembrances can be sent to Mercy Hospice.
