Patricia M Andrew

Pat Andrew, beloved wife and mother, passed away on September 13, 2011 following a short illness. Born March 17, 1931 to Kathryn and Jack Moran in Denver, Pat graduated Vallejo HS in 1949 and UC Berkeley in 1953. She was a Master Teacher and noted Bay Area artist. Pat married her high school sweetheart, Dr. William N. Andrew, in 1953. The couple was inseparable. They raised their children in Napa, played tennis, sailed, skied, and frequented Dixieland dance spots. In 1986 they moved to Aptos where Pat created an idyllic English garden at their home. In 1990 they retired to Carmel Valley Ranch and in 2002 relocated to Lake Wildwood. Pat was a woman with great faith. From a quote she left for her family: "Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was." Pat is survived by her husband, Bill, children Cindy Long (Mark) of Elk Grove, Bill Andrew (Sally) of Danville, John Andrew (Jennifer) of Coppell, TX, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and sister Kay Crisler (Jack) of Stanwood, WA. A memorial service will be held at Emmanuel Episcopal church in Grass Valley on Sunday, October 2 at 1 PM. Interment took place at St. Dunstan's, in Carmel Valley. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Emmanuel Episcopal Church Capital Improvement Fund, 235 S. Church St., Grass Valley, CA 95945.
