Esther Anna D'Andretta

Born in Franklin, California on May 25, 1914, Esther died peacefully on September 1, 2011 in Sacramento. She was predeceased by her devoted and beloved husband, John D'Andretta and her parents Christian and Christine Schmidt and her sisters Lydia Voth and Freida Pfeiffer. She is survived by her sister Ruth Gordon, many nieces and nephews, including Victor Edward Martinelli, his wife Annette and their children, Adam, Halley and Jenna, Nick Martinelli and wife Doreen, and their children Lynn and Steve, niece, Madalena Martinelli, and her children Tom Lerone, Christina Mortensen and Angela Lopez, nieces Kathy Astle, Joyce Alberico, Merilee von Feldt, Michelle Simmons, Bernice Pigeon, and Eileen Gillander and nephews Arthur Pfeiffer and Ted Pfeiffer and several nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews in Italy. We are deeply grateful to Francis Hill, Esther's dear friend and caregiver, and the nurses and physicians at Mercy General Hospital. We all will remember Esther's elegance, beauty, grace and her remarkable mind. Per her wishes, there will be no services and interment will be private.
