Alan Edward Felion was born in Chico, Ca. on June 11, 2942, the son of Roderic Felion Sr., and Iona Butler Felion. He passed away in Sacramento, Ca., on March 8, 2012 at age 69, 7 months after a diagnosis of cancer. He atteneded Notre Dame Grammar School in Chico and St. Francis Grammar School in Sacramento and graduated from Grant Union High School. After high school, he worked for the post office for a short time before he entered the U.S. Army and served his time in Germany where he married his fiance, also a Grant High School graduate. After his discharge, he attended Sacramento State College (CSUS) and graduated with a degree in accounting. After passing the CPA exam, he gained his experience with a Big 8 Firm and then went into public practice, both in partnerships and as a sole practitioner, always in midtown Sacramento. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Frances Greer and his brother Larry. He is survived by his sons Brett (Mandy) and Scott, stepchildren Michael and Dawnyel McCarty, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Roderic Jr., (Henri), Glenn (Jessica) and Michael (Katherine), and sisters Sharon Rapp (Don), Sister Jeanne Felion SSS and Alicia Uhouse (Don). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. 2 special friends shared memorable times of his life, Steve Dichiara and Rhonda Masters. Alan was a regular visitor at the Distillery in midtown where his wry sense of humor and conversations filled the lunch hour. A memorial service will be held at W.F. Gormley & Sons Chapel at 2015 Capitol Ave on Monday, March 12, 2012 at 11:00am. A private inurnment will be at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, Ca. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Standford Settlement, 450 W. El Camino Ave, Sacramento, Ca. 95833.
