Betty Jane Mackenzie

In Sacramento, September 16, 2011. Beloved wife of Norman B. MacKenzie (60 years), loving mother of Lisa M. Sorensen and the late David M. Droppo, mother-in-law of John K. Sorensen, daughter of Louis U. and Georganna Moody, sister of Louis U. Moody, Jr., cherished grandmother of 6 grandchildren and great-grandmother of 11, aunt of Danny and Jimmy Moody. A native and lifelong resident of Sacramento, age 88. She was a member of Phi Epsilon Phi, where she made many lifelong friends, retired from the State of California Dept. of EDD. She also enjoyed golf, theatre, and traveling. Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 4.00pm, at W. F. Gormley & Sons Chapel, private interment. Remembrances may be made in her name to the American Heart Association .
