Lillian Anderson

Lillian was born March 18, 1922, along with her twin sister Vivian in Seminole, Oklahoma, to Lillie Bell and Vernon Victor Brookshier. Lil was one of 9 children. Lillian was a WAC (Women's Army Corps) in 1945 where she met the love of her life Robert(Bob) Anderson. Bob has just returned from overseas in the Philippines where he was a P.O.W. Lil was on duty at a naval air station. One night after work, Lil was at a bar in San Francisco when she walked by Bob on the way to the restroom. She said, "Pardon me, while I go pre-flight my P-51!" Three months later they were married! They had 4 children: Buck, Sherry, Ord, and Carl. They enjoyed traveling and together they managed to see all 50 states. Lillian enjoyed sports, but she loved baseball and golf the most. While living in Alaska, she played shortstop for "The Wing Dingers." She also played in a women's golf league for many years. Bob and Lillian's love affair lasted for 62 years, until Bob's death in 2007. They were reunited in heaven March 27, 2012.
