In the early hours of April 20th our angel Patty rested. Comforted in the strength of her faith, in peace she joined brothers Pancho and Michael, her father Paul, and beloved son Eric. Patty continues to be loved and will be missed by her daughter Hillary and son-in-law Eric, her mother Millicent, sisters Barbara, Mary, Jan, and brothers Terry and Joe. Patty was also a wonderful aunt and will be missed by her niece Alicia and nephews Brian, Kris, Kyle, Greg and great nephews Logan and Dillon. Patty was also loved deeply by Stephen and Debbie Peterson, as well as Patty's sisters and brothers in-law, Denise, Samra, Valerie, Scott, Dave, Jacque, Tim and honorary sister, Mary Lee. Patty was natural caregiver. If someone needed anything, Patty would be there. Patty's determination never wavered, in spite of her declining health which left her in chronic pain. If you inquired if she needed anything, she would never speak of her ills; rather she would ask what she could do for you. She faced every challenge with grace, courage, determination and bravery. Patty did not have the ability to feel self-pity or selfishness; those two traits were skipped when creating her DNA. Those of us who had the pleasure to spend time with Patty had the honor to learn through her. Patty had the unique ability to live life without judgment. She was able to look at any situation, find a positive and keep from engaging in any conversation that was non-productive. Patty was gentle, kind, fiercely intelligent, compassionate, comforting, faith-filled, and talented in all that she touched. A celebration of Patty's life will be planned for a later date. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Redding, California. If interested, the family requests donations be sent to the Lupus Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
