Joyce Louise Scherrer

Joyce Louise Scherrer, 76, died peacefully in a care home in Roseville, California on August 8, 2012 after a long illness. She was born March 2, 1936 in Cortland, New York to Marian Lena (Palmer) and Ellis William Hutchings. The family moved to Roseville CA in 1946 where Joyce attended schools, graduating from Roseville High School in 1954. She graduated from Cal State University in Sacramento in 1960, attained a teaching credential, and began her student teaching. Joyce and Richard L. Scherrer were married in 1966 and divorced in 1974. In her youth, Joyce trained Tennessee Walking horses, was an accomplished artist, seamstress, and pianist. Joyce's cremains were interred with her mother in the Roseville City Cemetery.
