Eileen Kennedy Pryor

Born in 1919, Eileen Kennedy Pryor died August 29, 2012, with family by her side. Eileen was married to Harley Pryor for 58 years, until his death in 2008. The daughter of Bridget Cunningham Kennedy and Daniel Kennedy, Eileen grew up in Sacramento. A graduate of St. Francis Elementary School and St. Joseph Academy, Eileen worked for the State of California until she married Harley in 1950 and was a long time member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish. They raised two children in Carmichael and enjoyed traveling after his retirement. Eileen is survived by her children, Maureen and Michael, and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her sister Catherine and brothers Daniel and Francis. The family extends their gratitude to the caregivers at Sunrise of Carmichael for their compassion, generosity, and kindness. Rosary is Tues, Sept 4, at 6pm at W.F. Gormley & Sons, 2015 Capitol Ave; funeral Mass is Wed, Sept 5, at 10am at the Chapel at Calvary Cemetery (7101 Verner Ave, Sacramento). Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Eileen's favorite charities, Loaves and Fishes or Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services.
