Luz M. Ebling

In Sacramento, on September 22, 2012, beloved wife of George Ebling, loving mother to Philip (Debra), Geoffrey (Barbara) and Gregory (Marcela). She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings in Colombia. Luz was the adoring grandmother of Christian, Nicholas, Tiffany, Dalton, Kamryn, and David, aunt of Diana Soto, Jaime Quintero, and Katherina Quintero. She is also survived by many family and friends in Colombia. A native of Cali, Colombia, Luz, aged 85, was a resident of Sacramento for 55 years. Luz was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was an artist who enjoyed travel and her adoring family. She taught Spanish for many years at St. Ignatius School. Friends are welcome at W. F. Gormley & Sons Funeral Chapel for a visitation on Wednesday, September 26, from 1:00pm to 7:00pm, followed by a Rosary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for repose of her soul on Thursday, September 27, at 10:00am, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1333 58th Street, Sacramento, followed by interment at St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Luz requested donations be sent to Jesuit High School.
