Was born on February 21, 1948, in Sebastopol, California. He passed away peacfully on November 26, 2012, surrounded by his family. He served in the 101st Airborn Division as a radio airman; fought in Viet Nam where he was awarded the Bronze Star for bravery. He was a skydiver (back when it was a dangerous sport) and was an avid motorcyclist until 1984 after which was an active member of the Paralyzed Veterans of America. Stan was smart, funny and kept looking forward despite a host of challenges. He was generous, loving and was loved in return. A memorial service will be held on December 4, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at Gormley & Sons, 2015 Capitol Ave., Sacramento. Reception to follow at Spataro Restaruant, 1415 L St., Sacramento.
