Kurt Morgan Murck passed away from lung cancer on February 9th, 2013. He was born in San Francisco on March 19, 1933 to Arthur and Karin Murck. He was married to Donna Cicogni his first wife and friend and had two daughters and one son who passed away in infancy. He lived and retired as a Major in the Air Force in Riverside, California with his wife Marilyn (Mickey), who preceded him in death, and three of his daughters. After retirement he moved to the Sacramento area where he continued to enjoy his favorite pastimes of hunting and fishing. He was a loving father, father-in-law and grandfather to: Denice Murck-Kilgour and Rob Kilgour, grandchildren Morgan and Todd and Blair and BJ and great grandchild - Karly; Linda (Murck) Drageset, grandchildren- Erick, Evan, and Leslie and Jeff and great grandchild - Greyson; Kristine and Brent Fredricksen and grandchildren: Brynne and Erik; Laurie and Bill Barnard and grandchildren- Jennifer and Heather; and Lisa and Joe Narloch and grandchildren: Andrew, Marilyn, Kathleen and Nicolas. He had many wonderful friends whom he loved. He constantly reached out to his family and taught us the caring and humorous side of life. There was lots of love and laughter with him. He will be greatly missed. He will be interred beside his wife at the Riverside National Cemetery. A viewing and rosary will be held in Sacramento at W.F. Gormley & Sons on Thursday February 14th from 4pm to 7pm. The funeral mass will be at 10am on Friday, February 15th at Divine Mercy Catholic Church 2231 Club Center Drive, Sacramento, CA 95835.
