A native of High Point, North Carolina, and resident of Sacramento for over 60 years, Polly was known best for her loving spirit, endless generosity, and devotion to her family, friends and others. Always ready for running, golfing, bowling, yoga, music and dancing, Polly loved to, travel, cook, and socialize. But most of all she was defined by her love of her family. She is remembered by all for her total and absolute love of life, positive attitude, warmth, beauty, and infectious smile. Polly loved to laugh and lit up every room she entered. She nurtured and fed countless souls without condition. Her light and energy exists in all of us, and we forever cherish our true connection with her. As a member of many clubs and organizations, Polly was most proud of her dedicated service of over 30 years to the Hornet Bookstore at CSUS. Her memory will be cherished by all. After a courageous and graceful battle with Alzheimers and LBD, Polly peacefully passed away, surrounded by love on February 25, 2013. Polly is preceded in death by her beloved husband Joseph M. Uriz; parents Dallas and Pearl Wall; brothers and sisters Grant, Joy DeBenedetti, Gay Shelton, Wade, and Jimmy; and nephews Marc and Bob.
