Helen Louise (Klingler) Montgomery

Born on August 24, 1934 in Oakland, CA she returned to the Lord on April 28, 2013 surrounded by her loving children. After marrying Norman Montgomery on May 2nd 1954 they relocated to Sacramento for business opportunity. She is survived by her loving children; Stephen (Mary) and former wife Judy, Tom (Brenda), Cathy (Keith), Anne Marie (Rick), Brother John and loving Mary. She loved dearly her 9 grandchildren; Heather, Michael and Heidi Montgomery (Stephen and Judy), Sheila, Christopher (Courtney) and Melissa Montgomery (Tom and Brenda), Kristin and Katie Yarbrough (Cathy & Keith), Chelsea and Greg Zeman (Anne Marie and Rick), and three great-grandchildren, Westley, Kelynn and Porter Montgomery (Christopher and Courtney). Helen also leaves behind brother, Walter Klingler, and sisters, Beatrice Michaels and Sister Dorothy Clare. She was always very busy raising the six children and running the office of Montgomery Housemovers. She made many sacrifices in order to send all the children through Catholic Schools. She was an active parishioner at Holy Spirit for 57 years. After raising the children she became an active volunteer for the Sacramento Food Bank, Loaves and Fishes, the Holy Spirit Altar Society and PTA. Served on the Boards of the Regents of Christian Brothers High School, St. Patrick's Children's Home, Land Park Foundation and Mercy Guild to name a few. She will always be remembered as a role model in her community. A Rosary service will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 3159 Land Park Drive on Thursday (5/2) at 5:00PM. On Friday morning (5/3) a Continental Breakfast reception in the Holy Spirit Church Courtyard from 9AM-10:30AM will precede a Mass of Christian Burial, to be held in the church at 10:45AM. She will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre cemetery in Hayward Friday afternoon at 2pm. In lieu of flowers remembrances in her memory may be made to the Sacramento Food Bank, Women and Children's Services, 3333 Third Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95817, or a charity of your choice.
