Gasper Galante

A native Sacramentan born on August 28, 1930, Sonny was called home peacefully on April 28, 2013 at home surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife, Janet of 40 years, his daughter, Melissa and son-in-law Peppe, his sister Mary Bacher, his brother and sister in law John and Nancy and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends. He now rejoins his parents and 4 sisters who preceded him in death. He was employed by the Department of Airports for 36 years. His love for his family, gentle spirit, and kindness to all will always be remembered. A visitation will be held at W.F. Gormley & Sons, 2015 Capitol Avenue, on May 2, from 2pm-4pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for the repose of his soul on Friday, May 3, 2013, at 10:00am, at the cemetery chapel inside St. Mary's Cemetery, 6700 21st Avenue. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to UCD Hospice Care staff, Cindi Humphry, Sandee Ricci, Rosa Lopez and Gloria Hurtado for all their care and love. Remembrances may be made to the Sacramento Food Bank, or Shiners Children Hospital or one's charity of choice.
