Anna May Caplis

Born March 29, 1913 in Butte, Montana. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sister, John Joseph Caplis, Francis A. Caplis and Sr. Regina Caplis. She is survived by her loving sister, Mary C. Caplis, who managed her care. On Sunday, May 12, 2013 she peacefully passed away after 5 years of failing health. Ann loved the last 61 years of her 100 years in Sacramento, CA. During her adult years she owned & managed a beauty shop in Los Angeles. She later moved to Sacramento where she worked as a medical receptionist and later as an employee for the State of California from which she retired after several years of service. She was an avid traveler, visiting Alaska, Canada, Mexico, China, Tawian Formosa, Australia, New Zealand, England, Ireland, France, Spain, South America and the Greek Islands. Ann was an excellent knitter, loved gardening, and a great bridge player. She was always kind and thoughtful to all. She has twenty-one nieces and nephews third generation.
