5-10-29 thru 6-15-13 Age 84, on June 15, 2013, of Rio Linda, CA., Yvonne passed away unexpectedly surrounded by her loving family. (Marcella) Yvonne Gau Coyle is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Cyril "Cub" Coyle, and their 6 children: Catherine Dean, Timothy Coyle, Eileen Coyle, Frances Coyle, Mary Coyle and Nancy Tatarakis. Yvonne was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Yvonne is also survived by her brother Frank "Buster" Gau (Rosalie) and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Yvonne was born in North Dakota as the youngest of seven children. During childhood, her family migrated to Oregon. They moved to Sacramento in her teens, and met her husband while both attended Catholic High School. She received her degree at Sacramento City College and worked as an X-Ray Technician. A favorite story, as told by Yvonne, was: Cub proposed during his last semester at Santa Clara College and convinced Yvonne to write his term paper! She was loving and strong. On any given day, you could find a grandchild (then great grandchild) curled up in her lap while she rocked them and sang (or even yodeled). She cooked delicious foods (though perhaps hated to cook), sang beautiful songs and recanted fascinating stories. She was a loving Rancher's wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. We remembered and honored Yvonne with a Memorial Mass at Calvary Cemetery Chapel, Monday, June 24th at 10:00 am, followed by a celebration of her life at the Dante Club. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer's Foundation or American Heart Association.
