A San Francisco native, born December 31, 1923, Doris eventually moved to Sacramento where she passed on July 2, 2013 in Carmichael. She now rejoins her beloved husband, the James A. Gaynor, who passed in 2005 as well her parents. She was a bookkeeper for the Buggy Whip restaurant for many years. She loved to play golf with her ladies golf group, "The Niners" on Thursdays at Haggin Oaks GC. She also enjoyed water aerobics and exercising at Del Norte Tennis Club. She was a skilled domino player and enjoyed playing "Mexican Train" with friends. She was an avid traveler always enjoying new experiences. She also loved a good joke and had an infectious smile. In her early years and against her parents' wishes, she obtained a pilot's license and enjoyed flying when possible. She will be deeply missed by friends and colleagues who are encouraged to attend a nicheside committal service inside the chapel at Calvary Cemetery, 7101 Verner Ave., Sac., on Friday, July 12, 2013, at 9:00am.
