John Reardon

John Reardon

Born in Oakland, CA John was the beloved son of the late Amelia and James Reardon and now rejoins his beloved wife, the late Marian Reardon to whom he was married to for over 50 years. He is lovingly survived by his sons Terry and Tim (Julie) Reardon and grandchildren Christopher and Stacey Reardon. He is also survived by members of the McCormick family of Napa and the Waters family of Hollister and by long time dear family friend, Marilyn King and family. In 1954 John, Marian and their family settled in Concord, CA, where John worked for the United States Post Office, until retiring in 1985. John was an active and dedicated parishioner for over 50 years at Queen of All Saints Church as a member of the Holy Name Society and as an usher, lector and lay minister. John was a proud, lifelong Democrat, who supported many local candidates and was a longtime friend and supporter of Congressman George Miller. Both John and Marian traveled through Europe and he particularly enjoyed his stays in Ireland, visiting family and friends. Moving to Sacramento 10 years ago, John enjoyed spending time with his family and happily lived his last years as a resident of Mercy McMahon Terrace in Sacramento. Friends are attended a Vigil Service on Thursday (8/15) at 7:00pm at W.F. Gormley & Sons Chapel, 2015 Capitol Avenue, in Sacramento. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered for the repose of his soul on Friday (8/16) at 11:00am, at Sacred Heart Church, 1040 39th Street, Sacramento. He was be laid to rest beside his wife at St. Mary's Cemetery in Sacramento.
