Stella passed away peacefully on September 9, 2013, at home, with her daughters by her side. Stella was born on August 18, 1920 in Sacramento to George and Annie Separovich. Her loving husband, Douglas Martin, and brothers, Yubi and Dick Separovich, preceded her in death. Stella worked for the State of California, Department of Consumer Affairs in the Board of Cosmetology and Bureau of Repair Services, where she was a supervisor. She was a warm, caring person to all who knew her. She enjoyed time with friends and family and was a member of the Korcula Club and the United Slavonian Ladies Society, where she served as secretary. She was active in Mercy Guild and received an award for working over 7,000 hours. Stella is survived by her loving daughters, Deborah Martin and Denise Porter (Scott Myers), grandsons, Brian Kees (Kari) and Doug Porter, niece Ellyn Radich (Joseph), nephew George Separovich (Dolly), and great-nieces and nephews Melinda Mesbah (Masood), Lori Roberts (Pat), Aana Fitzgerald (John), George and Aaron Separovich, and great-great nieces and nephews, Davood (Libby) and Heidi Mesbah, Joe and Jacob Roberts, and AJ and Danny Fitzgerald. We would like to thank her caregivers, who cared for her like family: Tima Yabaki, Sylvia Knight, and the Torres Family. We are grateful to Mercy Hospice for helping in this difficult time. A Memorial Mass of Resurrection was held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2013, at Holy Spirit Church, 3159 Land Park Drive. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Mercy Hospice or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
