Olga L. Sambuceti passed away peacefully on Monday morning, September 23, 2013 in her home in Campus Commons, Sacramento. Olga was born in Sacramento in 1928 to Federico and Maria Sambuceti, both from Italy. They owned and worked on their family farm near Watt Avenue and Folsom Boulevard. Olga spent her childhood there with her older sister, Laura Sambuceti, and grew up amongst a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins. After high school, Olga went to work for the State of California and worked for many years in various departmental office buildings downtown. She and her sister Laura loved to travel, and over the years took many vacations together, visiting Europe, Southeast Asia, Latin America and many parts of the United States. She was predeceased by both parents and by her sister. She will be missed by her many cousins who live throughout the Sacramento and Bay Areas. A Catholic graveside service was held at St. Mary's Cemetery in Sacramento on Friday, September 27, at 1:00 p.m.
