Phyllis Pemberton

On Tuesday, October 8, 2013, we said our final good-byes to our Mom, Phyllis Mattas Haulman Pemberton. After a long battle with Alzheimer's, she passed away peacefully at 11:50 a.m. at the age of 92. Phil was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania and after moving to California, she ended up in Sacramento in 1959 where she spent he rest of her life with her family. Phil was a loving mother and mother-in-law to Kim & David Hellinge and Jill & Bob Porter; a wonderful and caring grandmother to 4 grandchildren, Jayci, Jordan, Taylor and Adam; and a very proud great-grandmother to Joshua, Madisen, Sophia and Brady. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved and cared for very much. Known as "gorgeous" to her family, her endless sense of humor and lust for life will be greatly missed. Phil was preceded in death by husbands John Haulman and Roy Pemberton and by her 5 sisters and 2 brothers. The family will honor her life in a private celebration.
