Ann Catherine Welch

Ann passed away peacefully on December 27, 2013, just days short of her 90th birthday. A third generation Sacramentan, she was born in Sacramento on January 12, 1924, to Eugene and Ella Welch. She graduated from UC Berkeley and was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority. She worked her entire career for the State of California, was a member of the Junior League of Sacramento and was active in the Sacred Heart Parish. Ann was predeceased by her parents and her sister Ellen (Rick) Jacinto, also of Sacramento. She is survived by her sister Jeanne (Loyd) McCormick of Orinda; nieces Kathy (Leroy) Curry, Patty (Paul) Shanley, Carol Jacinto, and Janet (Ben) Riley; nephews Richard (Pam) Jacinto, Dave McCormick, and Ken (Karla) McCormick; and grand nieces and nephews Brett and Travis Shanley, Cody Shemesh, John and Kendall McCormick, Keith and Jamie Riley, and Ana and Trent McCormick. Services were held on Saturday, January 11, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Parish in Sacramento.
