Alfred Irving Scott

Alfred I. "Tom" Scott passed away on January 6, 2014 at the age of 98. The loving husband of Albeth, his wife of 73 years, father of Irv, Roger, and Mark, father in law to Sylvia, Marcia, and Marianne, grandfather of Chris, Brian, Matt, Caitanya, Ruana, Lindsay, Devin, and Sean Scott, great grandfather of Charles and Lucas Scott and uncle of Sue Wilcox and Judy Jordan. A 3rd generation Sacramentan he matriculated at Brothers College (now Christian Brothers High School), the University of San Francisco, and Sacramento Junior College. A tremendous multi-sport athlete he went to college on an athletic scholarship and was inducted into the LaSalle Club Baseball Hall of Fame. After serving in the U.S. Army, he went into the insurance business (Associated Underwriters). He was a member of the Selective Service Board, past President and Board Member of Stanford Home, Board Member of CYO, Past President of the Serra Club, and a founding member of the Sacramento Little League. Alfred and Albeth have spent the last 23 years at Eskaton Village in Carmichael and the family would like to thank the many people there for the wonderful love, care and friendship they have provided to both of them. Services were held privately.
