Donald J. Fugina Sr.

Don was called home peacefully in Sacramento on January 20, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 57 years, Ann Fugina. He is also survived by his sons Donald Fugina Jr. (Corinne) and Kevin J. Fugina (Kelly) as well as his brother Robert and sister Diana. He now rejoins his parents, the late Matthew and Donna Fugina and brother the late Mathew Jr. He was a proud grandfather to Craig, Donald J. III, Vincent and Karly Fugina as well as a large extended family. He was born in San Francisco and at age 2 moved to Sacramento where he lived for 78 years. Don enjoyed his electronics career of 60 yrs. until very recently. He loved the challenge of repairing anything from professional video equipment to his grandchildren's toys. A gifted technician, he would tirelessly research or invent his own ways to fix the most complicated of things. Friends were welcomed to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which was offered for the repose of his soul on Friday, Jan. 24, 2014 at 11:00am, at St. Anthony Church, 660 Florin Road. Private interment took place at East Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donation in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
