Jill entered into the banquet of the Lord on January 13th, 2014. In her brief 55 years Jill proved to be a rare and beautiful flower possessing tremendous gifts. She loved to sing, to laugh, to dance, to lead her parish choir, and to have a really good time. She was blessed with a Broadway voice and a gorgeous smile. But perhaps the gift most treasured by her family and friends was Jill's capacity to love selflessly. She had a shepherd's heart and the gift of empathy for others' pain. All who knew her will remember and treasure her beautiful spirit, her inspired and exquisite singing voice, and her sweet demeanor which could melt boundaries in an instant. Jill was the beloved daughter of Ann and Mike Turnacliff of Sacramento, the adoring mother of Kelli and Dale Mitchell, and the beloved sister of John, Bob and Michael Turnacliff. Jill graduated from Loretto High School. She attended Saint Mary's College and Arizona State University where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She graduated from Santa Clara University with a degree in music. Private services were held in Sacramento.
